Refugees and immigrants will be some of the most interesting friends you can meet. Their stories inspire us to achieve our goals and help put our lives into perspective with respect to the community. Don't miss this opportunity to explore the world from your own town, to do something fun for others, to care and to teach your children to care. Your life can be enriched by their experience, as you help them in their journey from fear and overcoming isolation to a world of English, work, new friends, and safety. To see them progress, makes it all worth it!
Volunteer Opportunities
Our webpage on types of volunteer opportunities explores the many ways that volunteers are helping Refugee and Immigration Services, newcomers, and Virginian communities. We would be happy to talk to you about our volunteer opportunities in more detail. If you would like to discuss the many ways in which you could help our refugee families as a volunteer, please call or email the RIS office near you for more information.
